AWARD WINNER

shamann.jpg (4169 bytes) Sunset Elementary graduate, Sophie Hamann, won the prestigious award offered by the Goethe Institut in a worldwide drawing and essay contest. Subject of the competiton was "Wasserwelten" or Water Worlds. Sophie Hamann was the only winner in the 9 -13 age group from the United States. Her essay and illustration are shown in this year's Goethe Institut calendar.
